For a long time, I'd begun to forget how wonderful my friends and people around me are- mum, dad, bros, friends, the crusaders, and all.
It’s been wonderful to have these people around me… and I thank God for placing me around these people; people who never fail to have a smile on their faces. Seeing them in lectures, around in school and even at home make me feel loved and happy. I don’t know what cause this sudden realization and appreciation for all these people. Perhaps semester’s coming to an end or has it ended? Whatever the case, I’m grateful.

Like they say: a friend is one who knows the song in your heart - and sings it back to you when you've forgotten the words.

Dear friends,
it's the time of the semester again... study week. I'm sure there will be some among us who may be feeling anxious over the exams, some who are feeling stressed and all... so, here are some words from the Bible which may help to eliminate these fears and feelings as well as to act as a form of encouragement for all of us who are about to face the exams soon.

As we gear up for the exams, remember to press on and do our best, regardless of how our mid- term results have been.

Pressing on Toward the Goal
"Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:13-14

No matter how well or badly done our mid-term tests might have been, what's done have been done... the only thing we can do now is to press on and work hard...

Do not be anxious
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4: 6-7

Trust in God

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

And finally,
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

I hope that you have been encouraged by all these words and I pray that God will supply all our needs from day-to-day. Feel free to send me your prayer requests (Christians and non- Christians) if you have any. All the best for exam preparations and do your best.

Love, Ban Leng
